Details

As part of Banned Books Week, the Office of Student Involvement will be hosting a live streamed session titled “Lessons in Leadership from Banned Books” on Wednesday, September 30 at 6pm. In this session, a panel of DePaul students, faculty, and staff will discuss lessons that they have learned from books that may have been deemed controversial or were banned.

Panelists include:
• Savannah Geer – Student member of DePaul Reads
• Catherine (Cat) Garcia-Goetting – Student member of DePaul Reads
• Marie Donovan, Ed.D. – Associate Professor of Teacher Education and Program Director for Early Childhood Education
• Sveta Stoytcheva – Data Literacy Librarian for the DePaul Library
• Courtney James, facilitator – Director of Student Involvement
