Law for the People

The National Lawyers Guild was founded in 1937 as the nation's first racially integrated bar association. Its goal is to unite attorneys, legal workers, law students, and jailhouse lawyers to promote progressive political and economic change.  The guild works locally, nationally and internationally as an effective political and social force in the service of the people.

NLG at DePaul is dedicated to continuing this work through discussion groups, attorney teach-ins, and by organizing law students to fill needs in our community.
