About Us

The Office of New Student and Family Engagement (NSFE) assists students and their families in making a smooth transition into life at DePaul.

We do this by providing a holistic orientation experience for all new students and families, as well as connecting students and families to services, resources and engagement opportunities necessary to successfully navigate the university. We also introduce students and parents to DePaul values and traditions through orientations other types of programming. Along with overseeing new student orientation, NSFE works with the First-Year Program to manage the Chicago Quarter program. NSFE provides support and oversight for two members of the Chicago Quarter teaching team: the Staff Professional and the Chicago Quarter Student Mentor (CQM).
