Hello DCC Members,

Please join us Wednesday 4/14 for an event with Breakwater Forensics, LLC. They will be walking through the theory of litigation consulting, talking through cases individuals might see in their line of work and what the role of a Breakwater Associate would look like. This will be a great opportunity to learn more about litigation consulting and network with members of the firm, as they anticipate recruiting for full-time and internship positions in the coming fall.

Breakwater Forensics, LLC is a national consulting firm providing expert witness and business consulting
services for clients in the U.S. and internationally. Breakwater’s professionals specialize in the
investigation, analysis, and quantification of economic damages on behalf of companies and their
counsel. Their experts have provided testimony in both state and federal court, as well as arbitrations.

Noah Baird graduated from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana with a B.S in Accountancy & Finance. He also is a certified Public Accountant (CPA) a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and a
member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Noah specializes in
analysis and resolution of business disputes, concentrating in forensic accounting and commercial
damages in the construction industry. He works with financial management, general contractors,
subcontractors, and internal and external council to work to resolve and/or avoid litigation. Noah’s
experience includes forensic accounting analysis, lost profits analysis, construction dispute
resolution, litigation support, and document review. He has supported and assisted in the
preparation of expert reports and development of testimony.

Aaron Luesse graduated from The University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana with a B.S in Civil
Engineering with a focus in structural engineering and a sub-focus in construction management. He
is a member of the American Association of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and The American Concrete
Institute (ACI). Aaron specializes in analysis and resolution of commercial construction disputes,
concentrating in scheduling analysis, project delays, and force majeure. He has worked with general
contractors, subcontractors, owners, and internal and external council to resolve litigation. Aaron’s
experience includes lost profits analysis, construction dispute resolution, litigation support, and
document review. He has supported and assisted in the preparation of expert reports and
development of testimony.
