Culture & Careers: A Job Search Summit for Underrepresented Students

Join career experts, diverse alumni, and fellow students as you prepare for your successful job search through this new, virtual event. This event will provide you with practical tools and strategies that you can put to use as you search for your first professional position or internship.

Facilitated by Career Center staff, each of the event’s 4 hands-on workshops will also draw on the perspectives of and advice from alumni who are eager to help you succeed. Topics to be addressed include:
- Interview Tips & Tools: Learn how to stand out and wow the interviewer by honing your personal brand and interview techniques
- Making a Resume That Stands Out Prepare to craft or update your resume as you identify and learn how to articulate your most marketable skills on this important document.
- Job Search & Acceptance: Learn how to find and successfully apply for the jobs you want, as well as how to negotiate a strong offer
- Exploring Your Options: You don’t need to have everything figured out! This session will help you develop the know-how to explore and narrow down rewarding career paths that fit your interests, skills, and values.
