The Providing Access Through Holistic Support (PATHS) program's Fall Quarter Institute will focus on Setting Yourself Up For Success. Workshops will include:

Better Black Business Series: Innovation Through The Lens of Failure
Join special guest speaker Jared Lewis as he offers insight on his experiences in pathways to innovation: The practice of re-conceptualizing failure. Participants will learn how to shift their active thinking away from a failure/deficit mindset to one of success and prosperity. Participants can expect to leave this workshop with a better tactic towards address fear and anxiety around around failure and to see opportunity through setbacks.

From Student Leader to Skilled Professional: A Resume Workshop
Whether you are a Front Desk Assistant, Resident Advisor, volunteer or Secretary of a student club, each student leadership role operates as a vital organ in the overall success of an organization. Before you rethink or reconsider whether you should include that ‘minor’ responsibility, learn how to re-frame every task as a value, strength and supported by outcomes.
Learn how to translate your student leader role in a resume that maximizes your ability to transfer skills essential in the workplace that is informed by 21st century skills that employers are looking for. Bring your resume (optional).

Succulents and Self-Care
Join Founder of Plantita Paradise, Deivid Rojas as we take a moment to breathe easy and reflect on how impactful for self-care plants and succulents are. All participants will leave the workshop with both their own succulent and vital tips to keep themselves and their plant at optimal health

Building Your Personal Board of Directors
By building your personal board of directors, you take mentorship to the next level by curating a sounding board of multiple mentors. Learn how to identify the right people in your life, or how seek out new folx, to help guide you on specific decisions, direction, and overall personal/professional support. In this workshop, you’ll take a deeper dive into identifying what type of support and guidance you need to be successful, and then look at how to leverage your network and/or grow it to help fill those personal board positions.
