** Anti-blackness definition: Anti-Blackness is the personal, cultural, social, legal, and structural devaluing and disenfranchisement of people racialized as Black. Whether intentional or not, anti-Blackness ultimately serves to uphold a system of white supremacy through oppressive policies, institutions, and ideologies.
Join us for an opportunity to learn more about the subtle, tension amongst the Black Diaspora through a panel discussion. The event will be focused on how white supremacy has forced conflicts amongst the subgroups of the Diaspora and learn about what steps we can take to fight for unity along with a better understanding of one another.
The event will be hosted by students, Eemanna Rivers and Malik Joseph, who will be introducing a panel of Black DePaul professors with a focus on African/Black Diasporic studies.
