ResEd Netflix Party -
Join Res Ed each night (8/26-9/8) at 9pm during Blue Demon Wow (Early Arrival Virtual Programming Experience) for a fun movie night. You will have the opportunity to vote on a movie and watch that movie with other fellow Blue Demons! Please be sure to download the Netflix Party extension to your device prior to the start of the event. Go to: https://www.netflixparty.com.
Do you think that you make really good TikToks? Join the TikTok Contest and show off your video making skills! There will be a Zoom meeting on 8/28 at 6pm to discuss the rules in further detail and allow time for any questions. There will be two competitions for the following time periods: 8/28-9/3 and 9/4-9/8. Each student is allowed to enter 3 different TikToks that will be entered at the same time through a Qualtrics survey. This survey must be filled out before 12pm on 9/4 for the first contest and 12pm on 9/9 for the second contest. There will be two winners from each contest: Most Likes on a Single Video and the Most Views on a Single Video. The winners will be announced on ResEd’s Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pages so they can claim their prizes. TikToks must be appropriate and inclusive for the viewing of everyone. Join the Office of Multicultural Student Success (OMSS) Cultural and Resource Center 'To Affinity and Beyond' series. During this time of social distancing and online learning, it can be tough to build meaningful relationships and a community. The LGBTQIA+ Resource Center will host one of our first series: To Affinity and Beyond: We're Here, We're Queer where you can meet other students on campus that identify within the LGBTQIA+ community. This will be an informal gathering to connect, ask questions and find out how to get involved.
Students in the residence halls will have a paint by numbers set of the image to the right delivered to their rooms the day of the event to participate. Join in with your fellow residents for painting and conversation from your rooms!
DePaul University’s Connecting to Chicago Series will feature the opportunity for students to learn about Chicago-based experiences, landmarks, people, and ideas. In the series, DePaul staff member Cory Barnes will interview people with connections to marquee experiences in the City of Chicago. The interviews will be designed to last 15-30 minutes and will be streamed to DePaul’s Residential Education, Student Involvement, and Office of Multicultural Student Success Facebook channels.
Need a break from your day? Come join us for a mid-day game! We will be hosting Bingo, Trivia, and Skibbio each day at 2 PM starting Aug 27 - Sept 8! Prizes will be available for the winners!
