Office of Institutional Diversity and Equity: Build Certificate
The Office of Institutional Diversity and Equity in partnership with the Student Government Association is pleased to offer the Student BUILD Diversity Certificate Pilot program. This BUILD program strives to create a learning culture at DePaul that values diversity and inclusion and understands the benefits of a multicultural campus. The Student BUILD program seeks to connect the Vincentian mission of respecting the human dignity of every individual within a social justice framework.
This program is open to both undergraduate and graduate students. To complete this program, students will need to attend four total courses throughout the winter and spring quarters.
The three mandatory courses include Examination of the Self, The Thousand Cuts, and a Social Justice workshop.
The one elective can include participating in any type of lecture, training, speaking engagement, event, etc. offered at DePaul. Once all four courses are completed, students will receive a BUILD Student Diversity Certificate and a special cord to wear at graduation.
