Introducing the DEN
Student Involvement has created a new online resource that will assist DePaul during this transition to virtual learning and engagement known as the Digital Engagement Network (DEN). The DEN will serve as a one-stop shop for students and staff to learn and share information regarding virtual opportunities. DeHub has a great feature for events that allows for student organizations and departments to select the option to “co-host an event”. By selecting this option, events will be able to auto-populate to DEN’s group page for others to view. Some of the many benefits of co-hosting events on DeHub include introducing students and staff to partnering organizations and departments, boosting attendance at events, and increasing student engagement. As your respective areas begin planning virtual events, please consider adding DEN as a co-host.
OSI has created a guide on how to co-host an event that can found on the DEN’s page on DeHub. Learn more about DEN through our tutorial!
On Tuesday, March 24 from 12-1pm, visit the OSI Virtual Office for an hour of music featuring the Human iPod, John Rush! John takes you on a musical journey like no other one-man show can. Singing and playing guitar / bass / harmonica / piano / saxophone / banjo / keyboard and percussion John Rush plays his own original music and songs you know.
During Tunes at Noon, you will be able to request songs for John to play. Known as the "Human iPod," he has over 75 hours of songs ready to be performed!
Digital Resources for Student Organizations
Even though DePaul has shifted to remote work, your student organization can still meet and connect through a variety of virtual options. For example, did you know that DePaul faculty, staff, and student employees have access to use Zoom, a web-based conferencing platform that is accessible on MacOS, Windows, iOS, and Android devices. Virtual meetings and gatherings taking place on this platform can be joined by anyone that has access to the link. If your student organization would like to host a Zoom meeting, please request by emailing studentorgs@depaul.edu
