DePaul University’s Esports program will be hosting an eight week series titled “Career Chats” featuring alumni, faculty, staff, and university partners in the Esports industry. In the series, DePaul student Alex Rodriguez will interview people with careers in Esports and gaming. Interviews will be designed to last 15-30 minutes and will be streamed to DePaul’s Twitch and Facebook channels.
DIBSmoji Hunt!
To celebrate Blue Thursday, OSI will be hosting a DIBSmoji Hunt on Instagram. Similar to the Virtual Gnome Hunt, students will be able to visit OSI's Instagram page (@dpuinvolvement) every Thursday throughout the summer to submit their guesses for the number of hidden DIBSmojis in the pictures. Students who submit guesses will be entered to win a DePaul themed prize. Please follow OSI on Instagram (@dpuinvolvement) for more details.
OSI Summer Esports - Overwatch: DePaul Gaming League (8/27)
The purpose of this workshop is to assist students in coping with feeling nervous or restless. Participants will be introduced to mindfulness strategies designed to assist in tension-reduction and greater present-moment awareness.

DePaul University’s Connecting to Chicago Series will feature the opportunity for students to learn about Chicago-based experiences, landmarks, people, and ideas. In the series, DePaul staff member Cory Barnes will interview people with connections to marquee experiences in the City of Chicago. The interviews will be designed to last 15-30 minutes and will be streamed to DePaul’s Residential Education, Student Involvement, and Office of Multicultural Student Success Facebook channels.

Get to Know DePaul is a live streamed series happening twice a day to introduce departments, programs, and services within the DePaul community. Interviews will take place at 11am and 4pm each day from Thursday, August 27 through Tuesday, September 8. The interviews will be live streamed to Student Involvement and Res Ed’s facebook pages and will be hosted by Courtney James from Student Involvement.
Recovery meetings are open to any DePaul student who identifies as being in recovery (from substance use, eating concerns, mental health, etc.). Meetings start and end with mindfulness, have a topic discussion, and include time for open sharing. Signing up is not required; feel free to come on in! While you might be anxious before your first meeting, know our group is full of people who were once newcomers. We're ready to welcome you! The Vinny Vow: A Bystander Intervention Training is a 3-hour workshop that empowers and equips participants with the knowledge and skills to effectively assist in the prevention of sexual and relationship violence.
Join Katie Bellamy, Substance Misuse Prevention Specialist from The Office of Health Promotion & Wellness to discuss concerns about quitting nicotine and cannabis. We'll discuss strategies for coping, resources to utilize, and discuss and provide peer support.
