Wake Up with OSI!

Throughout Welcome Week, tune in to OSI's social media channels to hear morning announcements from an OSI. During the announcements, students will learn about upcoming events for the day and other resources and things to know for a successful Welcome Week and start to fall quarter.

Welcome Week Virtual Photo Booth

Virtual Speed Painting Show

Tune in to check out a virtual speed painting show. Attendees will have the opportunity to watch a talented artist create amazing paintings, which they will have an opportunity to win. Students will get a chance to ask questions and make requests for what they want to see painted.

Welcome Week Remix!

Join us for Welcome Week Remix, featuring the Throwback Time Machine! A video dance party that transports the audience back in time to the beginnings of pop music and takes them through its evolution right up to the present day. Every memorable song, every cheesy dance routine and every feel-good sing-along from the past 40 years is played live by our resident DJ and broadcast through our screen. Each decade is introduced by 'the Doc' our time traveling party-starter who'll give you on-screen instructions that'll help you figure out your Macarena from your Harlem Shuffle.

You can expect some highly interactive dance routines where the audience actually become part of the show and, of course, our outrageous resident DJ!

Collegiate Recovery Meeting: Attitude of Gratitude

Recovery meetings are open to any DePaul student who identifies as being in recovery (from substance use, eating concerns, mental health, etc.). Meetings start and end with mindfulness, have a topic discussion, and include time for open sharing. Signing up is not required; feel free to come on in! While you might be anxious before your first meeting, know our group is full of people who were once newcomers. We're ready to welcome you! This fall, we know that student organization involvement will look quite different than when we started the last school year. In order to assist our student leaders in ensuring they have the skillsets they need to be successful as they head into their student leadership positions in 2020, DePaul's Office of Student Involvement has partnered with a number of institutions around the country to offer the Virtual Engagement for Student Organizations Series. Sessions will be live streamed to DePaul Student Involvement's Facebook page at facebook.com/dpustudentinvolvement. Recordings will also be available following the events on the DEN at go.depaul.edu/den.
