Recruitment and Intake Resources

About this Resource Page

Hello and welcome to our Officer Leadership Series (OLS) , a webinar educational series for our fraternity and sorority life leaders at DePaul University. This resource page will cover in more detail the required steps for recruitment and intake for your chapter each quarter.

The recruitment and intake steps are required for chapters to complete and submit so that FSL staff can support the development of chapters engaging in these processes as well as providing support for those chapters that may not be. Chapters are required to complete these recruitment or intake steps each quarter that they are in the recruitment or intake process. For example, if a chapter is not engaging in recruitment or intake in the Winter Quarter, they are not required to complete any of the FSL Steps for that Quarter.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is responsible for completing the FSL Steps for recruitment or intake in each chapter?

This is not something that is controlled by FSL and can be completed by any chapter officer who has the pertinent information required in each FSL Step. Some chapter presidents may complete the FSL steps, or chapters may have their Recruitment Chairs or Intake Deans complete the FSL Steps.

Is it ever too early to complete the FSL Steps for recruitment or intake?

No! If a chapter knows that they will engage in recruitment or intake, even if it is a Quarter in advance, they can complete the FSL recruitment and intake steps necessary for the Quarter in which they will engage in that process.

If our chapter submitted our FSL Step 3, but some of our new/aspiring/associate members left the process, do we need to submit a new FSL Step 3?

Communicate with your FSL Council Advisor on this. They may be able to allow you to edit your FSL Step 3 that has previously been submitted. Communication with your FSL Council Advisor is important throughout the process of completing FSL Steps for recruitment or intake.
